DP World Tour
Darius Van Driel takes the Magical Kenya Open!

A final round 67 saw Darius Van Driel secure victory in Kenya marking the first Dutch winner on the DP World Tour in 6 years! Additionally, it’s Darius’ first win on the tour.

“It’s a dream come true”

Another very interesting story from this event was provided by Ronald Rugumayo as he became the first player from UGanda to make a cut at a DP World Tour event. It was awesome to watch as he just dripped a putt in on the last hole to make the cut on the number!

What’s next on the DP World Tour?

The DP World Tour is off for some time for the holiday season. Their next event wont be until January 11th, the Dubai Invitational.

PGA TOUR
A comfortable win for PGA Tour Rookie Jake Knapp

Korn Ferry Tour graduate and smooth swinger Jake Knapp won the Mexico Open on the PGA Tour this week! He took a four shot lead into the final round and managed to hold on to win by two strokes despite setting a record no one has ever dreamed of.

He only hit two fairways in the final round! The least by a PGA Tour winner! Point being, he did just enough to get the job done and secure his first PGA Tour victory. Congratulations to Jake, he serves as an inspiration to all struggling pros as he joins the PGA Tour as a rookie at age 29 and secures a win.

What’s next on the PGA Tour?

This week’s PGA Tour event is the Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches, formerly known as the Honda Classic. A much stronger field this week than last as Rory McIlroy, Matt Fitzpatrick, Tom Kim, and Cam Young tee it up!

Asian Tour
Ortiz takes the trophy in Oman!

The leaderboard at the International Series in Oman was very tumultuous but heading into the final round there was a two way tie at the top between Louis Oosthuizen and Carlos Ortiz.

Carlos Ortiz went on to shoot a final round 65 and ended up 4 clear of the field. Many other players from LIV Golf found themselves in contention as they geared up for their Jeddah event. Also in the top 10 were Lucas Herbert, David Puig, Matthew Wolff, Peter Uihlein, Mito Pereira, and Joaquin Niemann.

What’s next on the Asian Tour?

The Asian Tour heads to New Zealand this week for the 103rd New Zealand Open! I would encourage you all to check out Millbrook Golf Resort where this is being played. Some of the best views I’ve ever seen on a golf course! Should make for a fantastic event!

LIV Golf
The Mystery Man is Back

No event to recap for LIV Golf last week, but this week they head to Jeddah where the big news is the official signing of Anthony Kim to a wildcard spot.

We did a full recap of the Anthony Kim signing and story on the site, be sure to check that out if you aren’t caught up to date.

Will be interesting to see how things go in Jeddah this week. Look for Brooks to have a fantastic week, he’s won back-to-back here and will be looking to find some form heading into major season.
